ABS Capacity Development Initiative business dialogue meeting in Copenhagen in September 2013

The ABS Capacity Development Initiative, a multi-donor initiative supporting the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit sharing (ABS), is hosting its annual business dialogue. The two-day event, which will take place in Copenhagen on 4-5 September 2013, aims to promote exchange and cooperation between policy makers, regulators and the private sector on new regimes and regulations for ABS. 50 to 60 participants from different industry sectors, governments, and other relevant stakeholder groups are expected. The workshop will conclude with a half-day high level segment, hosted by Ms. Ida Auken, Danish Minister of the Environment, UEBT has been invited to present its approach and experiences on putting in practice ABS.
