Sustainable partnerships between Latitude 23 North and 23 South
B2D, Business to development, is the philosophy guiding Latitudes 23 activities. Latitudes 23 is a French start-up trading tropical medicinal plants contributing to the improvement of the well-being of providers through sustainable partnerships and therefore fair trade practices. Member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade since 2012, Latitudes 23 is committed to the conservation of biodiversity, its equitable benefit sharing and the respect of traditional knowledge in the regions of intervention – mainly between Latitude 23 North and 23 South.
Latitudes 23 is active in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sector. In addition to selling tropical medicinal plants, Latitudes 23 has also a consultancy proposition to help building sustainable supply chains. ‘Our line of action is based on the respect of biodiversity… [we] favour the choice of organic farming and aim to promote fair trade in every mission’. By becoming a member of UEBT, the company aims at being a ‘show case’, of an active actor and advocate of Ethical BioTrade practices.
